If I may continue to share these thoughts...
"I would say that when we have felt suffering and loss and the
ache for something better and we realize that it is our selves and
not others that block us from our desires we are on the right
step..."
I think you mean that the lies that we tell ourselves just boycott
our desires. That we learn to be ready to hear the truth by trial
and error: the more lies hurt us, the more our souls understand
that the truth is better even though it still hurts, and only then
we stop lying to ourselves. Because there is a difference between
intellectual knowledge and deep-knowledge. Is that what you meant?
Did I get it? Did I? :-)
"or when one is ready to be honest to oneself and face the truth
we lie to live and decide that the truth is more freeing when the
pain subsides..."
So if we lie to live, does that mean that facing the truth is... not
being afraid to die? Seeing death/truth as freedom? Seeing the great
unknown not as the enemy but as a friend? Not the jailer but the
freedom-fighter?
"I think when we are ready to grow we know and we can move on
some times with help and other times as we are alone we thrive with
what we have"
So there is no shortcut, eh? *sighs*
